Here is the information that I have:
| Doc | Desc. | Age | Implied Year | Birth location | Other notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| D00299 | 1841 Census | 25 | 1816 | Lancashire | |
| D00298 | Marriage (1839) | Father: James Glover | |||
| D00301 | 1851 Census | 39 | 1812 | Caton, Lancashire | |
| D01349 | 1861 Census | 51 | 1810 | Caton, Lancashire | |
| D09646 | 1871 Census | 62 | 1809 | Caton, Lancashire | |
| D09650 | Death (1874) | 61 | 1813 | ||
| D09651 | Burial (1874) | 61 | 1813 |
The 1841 census rounded ages, so the implied birth year of 1816 is probably not likely. So we are looking for a birth year range of 1809 to 1813 in Caton, lancahsire and a father of James Glover
With those parameters, I was able to find one record that fit. A baptism record for a John Spooner Glover born 22 March 1812 and baptised 21 June 1812 in Caton, Lancashire. The parents were James and Elizabeth Glover.
Not only do the age, location and father's name fit, but John Glover's first two children were named Elizabeth and James.
With a little further digging, I was able to find a marriage record for a James Glover and Elizabeth Spooner from 16 May 1803 in Caton, Lancashire.
So, it would appear that I have not only found John Glover's birth information, but also the next generation!
